Keri Andrews
Keri makes puppets as a hobby after having a stroke, which led to aphasia. She had to relearn how to speak, read and write, but her mind and creativity are still strong. The amputation that resulted from her stroke led to her interest in bionic prosthetics.
Her workshops teach adults and children to build puppets. She also shares insights, explaining how her bionic arm works.
Keri published a book on aphasia, 'Pointing Pictures,' to help people, including herself, struggling to read.
Before this, she was CEO of "You Kick Ass," customizing superhero figurines. She and her cofounder went on Shark Tank and got funding from Mark Cuban. They designed figurines with 3D-printed heads to resemble real people. Following the end of "You Kick Ass," she experienced her stroke.
