• Fuzzy sock

• Cardboard

• Glue stick - or - hot glue gun

• Scissors

• Pen

• Pom-pom

• Googly eyes - or - safety eyes​

Optional

• Pipe cleaners

• Felt

• Foam sheets

• Dots

• Feathers

• Faux fur

Cut your pattern. Place the pattern on the cardboard and trace the pen around the edges. Cut the cardboard.

Fold a piece of cardboard on the puppet mouth plate. Move the mouth back and forth.

Turn your sock inside out and then flatten the sock.

Use glue on the top of the cardboard. If you are using glue sticks, be generous on the cardboard and the sock. Sandwich it together. Wait 3 minutes.

Go inside your sock hand, turn it right side up. Go back to your sock inside your hand. Open the mouth plate. Close the mouth plate to allow movement.

Remove your hand. Pom poms, googly eyes or safety eyes will place the face on the eyes. Be near on the eyes, around 1 ½ inches. Glue sticks can’t hold properly unless you use both sides together. Wait 5 minutes or more to set the adhesive glue.

If you’re using safety eyes, be careful until you are ready to snap them together because the snaps will not come off.
